Wyoming Parks & Rec: Winter registration deadline is fast approaching

With the holidays less than a week away, the Wyoming Parks & Recreation Department is reminding residents that the registration deadline for most of the winter classes and programs is fast approaching.

These classes start in January but several, such as the youth programs in archery, babysitter training and swim lessons have a registration deadline of Dec. 26. Tae Kwon Do is Jan. 2 and the early bird dealing for the youth soccer league is Jan. 4. Several other youth programs, like dance, gymnastics, tumble and play, and fencing have a deadline of Jan. 8.

For the adult programs, the ceramics deadline is Dec. 28. Tae Kwon is Jan. 2. Line dance is Jan. 3 and Tap & Jazz and fitness classes are Jan. 4. Fencing is Jan. 8.

If there are spots open after the registration deadline, a $5 late fee will be added to the registration. To avoid late fees and to assure a class will have enough participants, department officials recommend registering on or before the class deadline.

Those interested in attending the free family movie night have until Jan. 4 to register. Those looking to attend February’s popular Daddy Daughter Dance have until Jan. 25.
