Wyoming Police investigate serious pedestrian crash on July 18

A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in the 2800 block of South Division Avenue on July 18.

At approximately 10:40 p.m. on July 18, police and fire personnel from the Wyoming Department of Public Safety responded to the 2800 block of South Division Ave. after receiving a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, first responders located an adult male with serious injuries. He was treated at the scene and then transported to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Preliminary investigation indicates the male was crossing South Division Ave. outside the crosswalk when he was struck by a southbound vehicle. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. At this time, the driver of the vehicle is not believed to have been speeding or under the influence of alcohol. The Wyoming Police Accident Investigation and Forensic Science Units continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
