UICA exhibition ‘Color of the Year’ opens April 9 with reception

Celebrate the innovative exhibition, Color of the Year presented by X-Rite Pantone, with an opening reception on April 9. Stroll the galleries and explore the works on view inspired by the 2016 PANTONE® Color of the Year – Rose Quartz and Serenity. Hear remarks by Heather Duffy, UICA Exhibitions Curator, and enjoy small bites provided by Reserve and a cash bar.

Color of the Year is a group exhibition of original art works each utilizing the 2016 PANTONE® Color of the Year as a major component of execution, and as a point of departure. The show recognizes the influence that fine art has on color use in the realms of fashion, interiors, graphic design, and industrial design. Color of the Year leads viewers on a journey from inspiration to realization with work by local, national, and international artists including:color of the year
