owners will be at the KDL Wyoming branch, 3350 Michael Ave. SW, Saturday, Dec. 17, to talk about sled dogs, missing equipment and the Iditarod.
The program, which is at 2 p.m., will include an opportunity to meet the dogs and watch a demonstration outside.
The discussion will also include information on the Iditarod, better known as the The Last Great Race, which starts on the first day in March. It follows Alaska’ Iditarod Trail, a National Historic Trail, where teams consisting of a driver and sled dogs start in Anchorage, covering 1,000 miles of Alaska’s frontier and ending at Nome.
