Everyone has taken a selfie with their phones but this month the Kent District Library is offering a program on how to create a self-portrait using mixed media.
“A Different Kind of Selfie: Creating Self Portraits Using Mixed Media” will be offered at 2 p.m. Oct. 14 at the KDL Byron Branch, 8191 Byron Center Ave. SW, and again 1 p.m. Oct. 23 at the KDL Grandville Branch, 4055 Maple St. SW.
The program is for ages six and up. Anyone can create art and what better subject to use than your own beautiful face! Using a variety of unique materials and a canvas, create your own version of yourself to show the world.
