Downtown Holland has launched two new websites to make it easier for customers to shop online and order take-out from their favorite Downtown Holland businesses while COVID-19 restrictions are in place.

The new “Shop Downtown Holland” (www.shopdowntownholland.com) and “Dine Downtown Holland” (www.dinedowntownholland.com) websites are a one-stop destination to easily connect customers with locally-owned businesses in Downtown Holland.

On the “Shop Downtown Holland” website, customers can decide which category of merchandise they are shopping for, select a particular retailer and then be immediately linked to that retailer’s online store or Facebook page for information on placing an order for curbside pick-up, shipping or local delivery. Likewise, the “Dine Downtown Holland” website allows customers to see which Downtown Holland cafes and restaurants are currently open for takeout services, with direct links to information for placing takeout orders online or over the phone.

“While our Downtown Holland businesses are not open in the traditional sense, they are still eager and excited to serve their customers,” said Downtown Holland Marketing Coordinator Kara de Alvare. “A lot has changed due to COVID-19, but our merchants remain as committed as ever to providing customers with the unique merchandise options and excellent customer service that Downtown Holland is known for. We want to spread the message that our locally-owned businesses are still here and they need your support now more than ever.”

Most Downtown Holland retailers offer online shopping on their store websites or via their Facebook or Instagram pages. Customers can shop directly online, comment on social media or contact the store via phone or email to place an order for curbside pick-up, shipping or local delivery. Store hours and offerings will vary. Downtown Holland restaurants and cafes are currently open for takeout only, with many restaurants accepting online orders and others taking orders over the phone or via email. Curbside pick-up is available at most restaurants, while others require customers to come inside to pick up their order. Social distancing and other safety measures are being undertaken by all businesses and customers coming inside to pick up orders are asked to wear a mask in consideration of their own safety and the safety of others.
