Día del Sol was a shining success!

By Grandville Avenue Arts & Humanities

Día del Sol has always been a colorful celebration of community, culture, arts, and education. This year’s event was full of fresh energy as The Goei Center hosted it for the first time. The vibrant Latin sounds of Cabildo pulsed through the air, the tastes offered by San Chez Bistro were delectable, and the student performances by Mexican Folkloric and break dance groups were absolutely captivating.

Grandville Avenue Arts & Humanities raised over $61,000 from this event for the organization’s programming. This figure includes sponsorships, ticket sales, silent auction proceeds, and other donations. In addition, there were close to 300 attendees at Día del Sol this year.

Thanks to generous community support, children, teens, and entire families are creating and learning at the Cook Arts Center and the Cook Library Center.
