By Artists Creating Together (ACT)

ACT is a nonprofit organization that empowers individuals with disabilities to learn, grow, and celebrate through the arts. We partner the talents of college students with our programs and outreach to create internships that offer real world perspective into areas of study.

ACT internships are offered year-round in roles with art programs, event planning, social media, public relations, non-profit administration, fund development, and more.

Fields of Interest

Our interns are pursuing degrees in a variety of fields and an internship with ACT allows students gain real-world experience in their area of study or interest internships are often related to the following fields of interest: Art Therapy, Art Education, Event Planning, Fundraising, Graphic Design, Non-Profit Administration, Special Education, Social Media, Public Relations, and more – we are always open to new ideas!

Past interns have included students from Aquinas College, Calvin College, Central Michigan University, Grand Valley State University, Kendall College of Art & Design, Kuyper College, Michigan State University, and University of Michigan.
