Gather up your little naturalist and slither on out to Binder Park Zoo, 7400 Division Dr., Battle Creek, MI 49014, on August 6th & 7th to help welcome back the snakes, snapping turtles and toads for Binder Park Zoo’s 33rd Annual Reptile Weekend! One of Michigan’s largest reptile events, Reptile Weekend encompasses a full weekend of fun, entertainment, and hands-on encounters with over 100 different reptiles and amphibians from around the world. Join Binder Park Zoo and the Michigan Society of Herpetologists (MSH) on Saturday, August 6th from 9 am to 6 pm and Sunday, August 7th from 11 am to 6 pm for this annual event.

Reptiles and amphibians are often portrayed as creepy, dangerous and aggressive creatures but contrary to what many people believe, reptiles and amphibians play a vital role in our environment and are often shy and reclusive. Visit Binder Park Zoo for Reptile Weekend and learn about the truths and misconceptions that these species often face. This year’s event will feature several large snake species such as Burmese and reticulated pythons, alligator snapping turtles, monitor lizards, frogs and hands-on encounters with Al, the Zoo’s Aldabra giant tortoise on exhibit on Saturday 11 am-4 pm and Sunday 12 pm-4 pm.

Reptile Weekend is a family event and is included in the day’s admission.
