The West Michigan Tourist Association (WMTA) has launched its 2019 West Michigan Photo Contest. With so much beauty found in West Michigan, the WMTA wants travelers to show off what they love most about this beautiful side of the state, and win some great prizes. The contest is looking for traveler photo submissions from all around West Michigan. This region covers the entire west half of Michigan from the Indiana border to Mackinac Island and into the Upper Peninsula.
All photo entries must be received by July 26, 2019, for public voting by WMTA’s Facebook audience. Last year, more than 35,000 votes were cast during the public vote. All winning photos will be featured in WMTA’s upcoming West Michigan Carefree Travel Guide, to be printed in January of 2020. The grand prize photo will also be featured on the cover of the Guide.
Additional prizes will be awarded to the top three photos as follows:
- First Prize: Photo featured inside the 2020 West Michigan Carefree Travel Guide, $100 Gift Card to Michigan State Parks, One night stay at Embassy Suites Grand Rapids Downtown, Copy of 365: A Year in the Photographic Lives of Todd & Brad Reed photo book by Todd & Brad Reed Photography, Family four-pack to the Grand Rapids Public Museum (includes general admission, planetarium shows, and carousel rides), Four tickets to Michigan’s Adventure (Muskegon)
- Second Prize: Photo featured inside the 2020 West Michigan Carefree Travel Guide, Overnight stay at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort (Empire), Family Pack (admission for two adults and two children) to Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park (Grand Rapids), Four tickets to Michigan’s Adventure (Muskegon)
- Third Prize: Photo featured inside the 2020 West Michigan Carefree Travel Guide, Four tickets to Michigan’s Adventure (Muskegon), Four-pack admission pass to Lewis Farms and Petting Zoo (New Era), A family tour and ice cream for a family of 4 (2 adults/2 kids) at Country Dairy (New Era)
