One person is dead following a shooting near 50th Street SW and South Division Avenue.
At approximately 9:25 p.m. on Aug. 19, officers from the Wyoming Police Department responded
to reports of shots fired near 50th Street SW and South Division Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located evidence that a shooting had occurred at a nearby apartment complex.
A short time later, officers located a 27-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported to an area hospital for treatment, where he later died.
At this time, no arrests have been made. Detectives from the Wyoming Police Department, along
with members of the Forensic Science Unit, are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
