UPDATE: The deceased individual found in the Grand River near the 2000 block of Indian Mounds Drive has been tentatively identified, and his family has been notified. Additional steps are being taken to confirm his identity before his name is released.
Wyoming Police continue to investigate this discovery, which took place on June 13, 2026.

Wyoming Police are investigating human remains found in the Grand River near the 2000 block of Indian Mounds Drive.
At approximately 6:50 p.m. on June 13, officers from the Wyoming Police
Department responded to the 2000 block of Indian Mounds Drive on a report of a
suspicious object in the river believed to be a human body. Upon arrival, officers located
the remains of a deceased individual in the Grand River.
The deceased individual has been identified as an adult male. No additional information
regarding his identity is being released at this time.
Wyoming Police detectives and members of the Forensic Science Unit continue to
investigate the circumstances surrounding this death.
