This winter view comes from the collection of Earl Jourden. Earl owned Earl Jourden Auto Parts which was located on Clay Avenue in Wyoming. Earl said he believes the photo was taken during the 1978 blizzard, which had record 24-hour snow falls. During that storm, Grand Rapids received 16. 1 inches of snow in 24 hours.
