Be sure to check out Kentwood’s annual Fourth of July Celebration on Saturday, July 4, from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., highlighted by a pancake breakfast at the fire station, 5k race, parade, carnival and a fun-filled evening celebration.
Please note: Only cards will be accepted for payment at the event – no cash.

7:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Pancake Breakfast
Kentwood Fire Station, 4775 Walma Ave SE
Enjoy a delicious pancake and sausage breakfast at the fire station for $5.
8 a.m.
5k Race & Fun Walk
The race route start and finish will be in front of Kentwood City Hall. Runners will loop through neighborhoods and come back on the East West Trail to the finish line. Check-in will be across from Fire Station 1. Finisher medals will be given for the race. Link for race registration online at kentwood.us/July4
9:30 a.m.
Parade
Be sure to get a prime spot along the parade route and show your Kentwood pride. The parade starts at 4755 Walma at the new Community Center, travels South on Walma, continues South on Breton at the roundabout, turns West on 52nd, and ends at Challenger Elementary School.
10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Carnival
Kentwood City Hall, 4900 Breton SE
Fun kids rides and games behind City Hall. Purchase a carnival wristband in advance for $20 at the Kentwood Activities Center on Wed, July 1 and Thursday, July 2.
5 to 10 p.m.
Evening Celebration
