Sixteen of our branches plus our Service Center have four Breezer Uptown EX 8-speed bicycles available. (This service isn’t offered at our Spencer or Alpine branches because they are both located by extremely busy roads, which was a safety concern.)

Each of these snazzy bikes comes with a basket, a bike lock and key. Most of the branches offer two styles of bikes, those with a horizontal crossbar and those with a more diagonal, step-through crossbar. Although Michigan law doesn’t require you to wear a helmet, we strongly recommend you bring your own.

KDL Cruisers are available for checkout to anyone age 18 or older with a KDL card in good standing. We’ll have you sign a borrower’s agreement and waiver. You get to keep the bike for the day; just be sure to return it before the library’s closing time! Lock the bike and return the key inside.
