Mexican music star Gerardo Ortiz featured at Fourth Annual Latin Music Concert

The Fourth Annual Latin Music Concert is set for 2016, and the Grand Rapids-Kent County Convention Arena Authority’s (CAA) Community Inclusion Group (CIG) is excited to announce Regional Mexican music star Gerardo Ortiz as the headliner of this year’s event.

 

Ortiz will bring his unique style of corridos and romantic ballads Banda infused to Grand Rapids on Saturday, June 11 at 7:30 p.m. in DeVos Performance Hall. The previous three events were held at Van Andel Arena.

 

Ortiz became a regional Mexican musical star in 2011 with four top selling albums. In 2010, he garnered a Grammy nomination for Best Norteno Album for his debut album “Ni Hoy Ni Mañana.” In 2013, he won four Mexican Billboard Music Awards including Male Artist of the Year. He was also nominated for a 2013 Grammy Award for Best Regional Mexican Music Album for “El Primer Ministro” and the following year was a judge on the 11th season of Elstella TV’s  talent contest “Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento.”

 

Ticket prices are $35, $50, $75 and $150 for VIP, which includes seating in the first three rows, a pre-show reception with light appetizers and a cash bar, and parking below DeVos Place. Tickets will be available at the DeVos Place® and Van Andel Arena® box offices, all Ticketmaster,
