Kentwood Women’s Club to host discussion on Grand Rapids historic buildings

By Kentwood Women’s Club

This month’s meeting of the Kentwood Women’s Club, set for Wednesday, Sept. 18, will host a discussion by Carolyn Cook, owner of GR Running Tours, speaking on Old Buildings of Grand Rapids. The meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m., at the Kentwood Public Library, 4950 Breton SE in Kentwood.

Cook, a business graduate of Michigan State University, has combined her business expertise with her love of fitness into a business of her own. Not only does she give speaking engagements, but she give tours of Grand Rapids to residents and visitors while they participate in a run around the city.

The KWC event will begin with a 6:45 p.m. social time with the group meeting starting at 7:15 p.m. and the discussion to follow shortly.

The purpose of KWC is to enhance the cultural, civic, educational, and social opportunities of Kentwood area women. KWC encompasses women in Kentwood and the surrounding area.
