The Lloyd F. Hutt scholarship essay contest supports high school seniors bound for higher education. If that’s you (or someone you know), this is the opportunity to showcase those creative thinking skills in pursuit of one of fifteen $2,000 scholarships.

To Enter:
Write a 750-1,500 word essay about the following topic:“But we’ve always done it that way”. Name something you’d change and why. Essays will be evaluated by an independent panel of judges, with greater emphasis placed on creativity, clarity and originality rather than grammatical proficiency.

Eligibility:
If you’re a high school senior, you’re in. That includes general or special education students, and students with limited English proficiency. All applicants must plan to enter a trade school, college or university in the following academic year.

Deadline for entries: January 31, 2019.
