Wyoming Police investigate fatal vehicle crash

One person is deceased after an overnight single-vehicle crash.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on May 2, Wyoming Department of Public Safety police and fire personnel responded to a rollover crash in the 2200 block of Gezon Parkway. Upon arrival, first responders located a severely damaged vehicle with two occupants trapped inside. The Wyoming Fire Department extricated both individuals from the car.

The driver, a 77-year-old male resident of Byron Center, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died. The passenger of the vehicle was not injured.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of the vehicle may have experienced a medical event prior to the crash. This incident remains under investigation by the Wyoming Police Accident Investigation and Forensic Science Units.
