Wyoming Senior Center: A great place to meet new friends

By WKTV Staff

Tasty tours. Exercise. Live music. Dancing.

These are only a few of the things you’ll find down at the Wyoming Senior Center (WSC) (at 2380 DeHoop SW). It’s a great place for 50+ folks to try new activities, meet new people and expand  horizons.

Established in July 1976, the WSC makes good on its mission to offer “a comfortable, welcoming meeting place that provides opportunities for fun, interaction and communication, social enrichment, recreation, volunteerism and learning.”

The WSC’s travel program offers day trips to museums, casinos, zoos and more. Educational workshops abound, focusing on essential subjects like Wills & Trusts, Health & Nutrition and Medicare enrollments. You get the idea.

Supported by Wyoming Parks and recreation Department and the Wyoming Senior Fellowship Club, Inc., WSC sees more than 60,000 participants enjoying its activities and events each year.
