The Wizard of Oz Festival returns to Ionia on June 17-18 with a full lineup of special events.
Munchkin by marriage, Mary Ellen St. Aubin, will again make a celebrity guest appearance and be available for photos and autographs. The movie that started it all will screen at the historic Ionia Theatre and is priced the same as it was 77 years ago — only 25 cents per ticket!
A variety of Oz-related contests, baking competitions, musical entertainment, Soap Box Derby-style races and more are on tap for guests. Vendors will be on hand with a great assortment of arts and crafts, shabby chic treasures and antiques; and an estimated 50 vintage travel trailers and their owners will make Ionia their vacation site during the festival.
