The West Michigan Tourist Association (WMTA) is excited to announce its 2016 West Michigan Photo Contest, which starts July 7. The contest is looking for traveler photo submissions from all around West Michigan. This region covers the entire west side of Michigan from the Indiana border to Mackinac Island and into the Upper Peninsula.

 

All photo entries must be received by July 31, 2016 for public voting by WMTA’s Facebook audience. All winning photos will be featured in WMTA’s upcoming 100th Anniversary Carefree Travel Guide, printed in January of 2017.

 

First place will also receive an overnight stay at Homewood Suites in Grand Rapids with passes for Mac Wood’s Dune Rides in Mears, passes to Grand Rapids Treetop Adventure Park, a Cedar Springs Brewing Company Prize Pack and a Club Mich T-Shirt. Second place will receive an overnight stay at All Seasons Hotel & Resort in Kalkaska with passes to the Grand Traverse Butterfly House & Bug Zoo and a Club Mich T-Shirt. Third place will receive a Family Season Pass to Stokes Homestead Farm Market in Grand Junction and a Club Mich T-Shirt.

 

The accepted photo formats are high-resolution jpeg (300 dpi +), pdf or tiff. CMYK is preferred. Email your submissions to PhotoContest@WMTA.org and include your full name, the city that the photograph was taken and a short description of the photo.
