In The Image — an organization that links new and gently used clothing, housewares, furniture and appliances with people in need — could use your help.

Each week, volunteers sort through thousands of clothing, housewares, furniture and appliances with help from schools, churches, businesses and social groups. When there’s a shortage of volunteers, some work just doesn’t get done.

Such is the current state of the organization’s pick-up service, which has been suspended until further notice.

In an effort to recruit volunteers, In The Image is holding a Volunteer Orientation Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 10 am.

All volunteers will receive an overview of the organization and a tour. Training will be provided on the first day of volunteering. In The Image needs help with sorting, hanging, stocking and providing customer service to its guests in the Free Store.

imagePlease call or email Ashley Tellez at 616.456.6510 or atellez@intheimage.org to register for orientation. Volunteer Orientation is held at In The Image, 1823 S. Division Ave. If you’re an individual or part of a group who would like to help change the life of someone in need, sign up today!
