View Sky Wonders at the ‘Winter Star Party’ March 11 and 12

marchJoin Grand Rapids Amateur Astronomical Association (GRAAA) and the Grand Rapids Public Museum (GRPM) for the “Winter Star Party” on Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12 to view sky wonders not visible during warm weather seasons, such as the crescent moon, Jupiter, Orion Nebula, Pleiades and other deep sky features. The soiree will take place from 7:30-9 pm on both nights at the Cascade Recreation Park3810 Thornapple River Dr SE. And it’s free. Dress for cold weather and bring flashlights, binoculars and telescopes, if you have one. Only one caveat: It will only take place if the sky is clear. Status updates will be posted on the GRAAA website.
