Two local authors will be the featured guests at this year’s St, Mary Magdalen Women’s Expo and Craft Show set for July 23.
Local authors Teresa Lasher and Kerry Kerry McAvoy will be at the event. Both authors wrote their books after life changing events. Lasher wrote “Life is Good, Fragile, Precious – Loving yourself so you can love others” after being diagnosis with a brain tumor and McAvoy wrote three devotionals after closing her practice to take care of her late husband who had cancer.
More than 50 vendors are expected to offer their crafts, cosmetics and other wares at the expo which also includes a Classic Car Show with a People’s Choice Award.
The expo takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. under a tent behind the church, located at 1253 52nd St. SE. Admission is free.
On the next day, July 24, there will be a free concert featuring the Calder City Band.
