The Kent District Libraries is offering a way of area children to participate in ringing in 2017 at an hour that will not keep them up past their bedtimes.
The KDL will be hosting a Countdown to Happy “New” Year at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at several of its branches. Local branches that will be offering this year-end event are the Kentwood (Richard L. Root) branch, 4950 Breton Rd. SE, and the Gaines Township branch, 421 68th St. SE.
The neighboring branches of the Byron Township, 8191 Byron Center Ave. SW, and Grandville, 4055 Maple St. SW, will be hosting the program as well.
