‘One Book, One City’ for Kids Encourages Lifelong Love of Reading

One Book One City for KidsOne Book, One City for Kids is an annual reading program that encourages all 5th graders in the city to read and discuss the same book. The program also strives to inspire readers to bring story ideas and themes to life through discussion, and to build collaborative ties between public libraries, school libraries, and area schools. This year the entire city will be reading Esperanza Rising by Pam Muñoz Ryan. This FREE event runs from Jan. 1-March 31, 2016, at all library locations. Call 616.988.5400 for more info.
