Welcome the Michigan summer on the gorgeous trails of Blandford Nature Center, where competitive runners and leisurely walkers alike can come together to celebrate the summer solstice during the Longest Day 5K.
Join in on Friday, June 17 for an evening of fitness, food and fun. The top three finishers in the Men’s, Women’s and Youth categories will receive medals and also a one-year family-level membership to Blandford Nature Center (a $50 value).
Runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to participate. The 3.1-mile trail loop course takes visitors on a tour of Blandford’s 143-acre property. Racers will begin and end at the Blandford Farm and will go past the reconstructed meadow, through wooded terrain, and past Brandywine Creek.
Afterwards, celebrate the summer solstice at the Summer Celebration and enjoy FREE hotdogs from Rockford Corner Bar, craft beers, music and more.
This year marks the fourth anniversary of Blandford Nature Center’s fundraising trail run/walk. All registration fees and donation will go toward furthering Blandford Nature Center’s mission to education, engage and empower the community to become stewards of the natural world that sustains us.
Day of Check-in will be from 4:45 pm to 6:45 pm at the check-in station at the Blandford Farm, 3143 Milo St. NW, Grand Rapids. Racers will receive race bibs and swag bags. A gear check will be available at the Information Booth for those who need it.
