The KDL Gaines Township Branch, 421 68th St. SE, will offer a couple programs this month designed to help children and teens to escape the winter weather.
On Jan. 23 at 10 a.m., the KDL Gaines Township Branch will be offering the program “A Day at the Beach!” This is an opportunity to forget about the cold, snowy winter and enjoy a day at the beach. Participants are encouraged to bring a beach towel and enjoy some beauty reads, sandy activities and fun in the sun games.
For teens, the KDL Gaines Township Branch will host a trip along the Oregon Trail Jan. 13 at 1:30 p.m. The program is modeled after the classic computer game. Participants should prepare to face capsized wagons, dysentery, broken wheels and more as they attempt to reach Willamette Valley.x
