Enjoy an evening of music and at the same time support a summer reading program.

On April 15, two a cappella groups from Grand Valley State University will perform at 7 pm at South Harbor Church, 1951 64th St. SW, in Byron Center.

The program is a fundraiser for the Byron Community Ministries’ Summer Lunch & Literacy program. During the summer, Byron Community Ministries provides lunches to students in three different Byron Center neighbors twice a week. Along with that, the program includes a reading club in the neighborhoods, where adults read to students, students read to each other, literacy games and opportunities to students to receive books.

Tickets for the April 15 performance are $10 at the door. Children 8 and under are free.
