Enjoy a fun, sand-sculpting weekend! From 9 am-7 pm Friday, August 19 through Sunday, August 21, Sand Rapids (at the GR Downtown Market, 435 Ionia Ave. SW) will feature professional sand carvers who will literally turn tons of sand into beautiful sculptures. Kids of all ages can dig in to the Market sandbox and make their own sand art to take home.
On Friday afternoon, groups will compete against each other during the amateur sand sculpting competition. Master carvers will crown the group who can carve the best local-themed sand sculpture
Don’t miss the ‘sand bar’—complete with locally made cocktails and signature summer punches, and buckets of ice!
