December investigate the science of snow at the Public Museum

snow-science-1-1Join the Grand Rapids Public Museum (GRPM) this December for hands-on Science Tuesday programming all about the Science of Snow! Science Tuesdays is an ongoing educational experience offering science programming based on changing themes each month.

 

Visitors will interact snow, ice and water to learn how salt changes the freezing point of ice and the different ways to measure temperature. Visitors will try their hand at making their own snowflake structures, while learning how ice crystals change into snowflakes. Visitors can even inspect snow fleas under a microscope!

 

Science Tuesdays take place throughout the day every Tuesday in the Museum’s Galleria and include a variety of activities and interactive displays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities are free with general admission to the Museum.
