Creepy chemistry featured at Science Tuesdays at the Public Museum

Grand_Rapids_Public_MuseumThis October as part of our ongoing Science Tuesdays programming at the Grand Rapids Public Museum (GRPM) visitors have the opportunity to interact with various hands-on stations to learn all about creepy chemistry. Science Tuesdays is an ongoing educational experience offering science programming based on changing themes each month.

As part of October’s Science Tuesdays, visitors will make chemical reactions with Franken-worms, Dracula’s blood and foggy pumpkins, build molecules with marshmallows and Legos® and test household items for acidity to learn about the pH of each item.

Science Tuesdays take place throughout the day every Tuesday at the Museum and include a variety of activities and interactive displays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities are free with general admission to the Museum.

On Saturday, Oct. 8 join Aquinas College Chemistry Club for special chemistry demonstrations from 11a.m. until 3 p.m. inside the Museum.

Future Science Tuesdays programming will be themed around activities happening at the Museum. For upcoming months’ themes and activities please visit grpm.org/Science-Tuesdays.

The Grand Rapids Public Museum is located at 272 Pearl St. NW.
