It’s time for Binder Park Zoo’s 6th annual Kids FUNfari! On June 18th, bring the entire family out for a day full of fun activities focused on healthy and active lifestyles for kids. A great feature to FUNfari is the Lemur Lap Kids Fun Run. This non-competitive run is a great way to get kids excited about staying active. The Lemur Lap is for kids ages 2 to 10 and begins at 8:15a.m. Kids FUNfari will be held inside the Zoo from 9:00am to 2:00pm and is included in general admission. Getting kids unplugged in today’s fast paced, technology saturated lifestyle, can be challenging. Making a commitment to get kids out of doors and active will have a lasting effect, not only on their physical health, but also their awareness of the many great things that can be found when connecting with nature. FUNfari will help to provide families with information and ideas to help “unplug” their kids and to stay active as a family.
To kick off Kids FUNfari, the Lemur Lap Kids Fun Run will take place at 8:15am. Pre-registration is now available online at www.binderparkzoo.org or you can register the day of the event from 7:30-8:00am at the Zoo Office. The Lemur Lap is for children up to the age of 10 and the race is 1/2 mile long. Registration for the Lemur Lap includes a Lemur Lap t-shirt and admission to the Zoo for the day for participants. Families who escort their Lemur Lap participants will also receive coupons for discounted Zoo admission for the day.
